Joint training with JW Formoza
Members of the 5th Special Forces Regiment (5th SFR) with the Polish unit Jednostka Wojskowa Formoza completed two demanding weeks of June training.
They trained diving in the sea during the day and in reduced visibility conditions. They solved crisis situations underwater, for example a diver stuck in a net, practiced navigation under the water surface in reduced visibility, wreck diving and night diving in a pool. All this awaited members of the 5th SFR during the first week of training.
During the second week, both units went through VBSS (visit, board, search and seizure) skills training, boat boarding techniques using various types of ladders, boarding and leaving the vessel using a helicopter, tactical activity of occupying the main parts of the ship and subsequent "cleaning" of the remaining parts of the vessels.
